Wakeskater Brady Hicks, 2009 Canadian Men’s Am. Champion

Hey my name is Brady Hicks and I'm from Halliburton County, which is the home of about 100 lakes. I live on a lake and a typical summer day consists of hanging out in the boat with my friends and ridin as much as possible. This past summer (2009) was my most memorable and successful wakeskating season yet. My focus was to be as consistent as possible which lead to a 1st place win at provincials, nationals, and Wakestock at the amateur level which bumped me up to pro. I've been riding for 5 summers now and competitively for 3. I've been riding for Dogbowl for 2 years now, along with Tradegy Aesthetic Apparel, and Hoven sunglasses. Mike from Dogbowl has been a great help to my success in the sport, he's always hooking me up with the top products and the entry fees to competitions. My goal is to just keep killing it at comp's and rep the companies that are helping me along the way. Thanks to all and get out there and ride till ya die. More Pics

Gavin Hicks

Hey. My name is Gavin Hicks. I’m 21 years old from Halliburton, Ontario. I’ve been riding for 7 years and have been sponsored by Dogbowl for 3 years now. Since my dad is an avid waterskier, he got me started young. It wasn’t until I met a wakeboarder named Doug Holden, that I started wakeboarding. He was a rider and a judge in the Ontario wakeboard scene. He got me started in my first competition; Rock The Wake 2005. The reason I wakeboard is to have fun. Whenever I get stressed out with competitions I think about quitting, so I try not to worry about them too much. If I do well, I do well, if I don’t then it’s not that big of a deal. Just try harder the next time. I’m not sure where I want to go with wakeboarding yet, but this is my first year fully sponsored so that will help me on my way to doing well. All I want to do is learn new tricks and be the best I can be.

I’ve been skating on Dogbowl’s Team for about a year and skateboarding for 3 ½ years. My goal is to try and make it AM. My fav. pro. is the Lizard King. Words to live by, “GO NUTS FOOL!!!” hahaha. I’d go anywhere to skate with my homies.   Hey! My name is Carter Kolarek & I'm 13 yrs old.
I've been snowboarding since I was 6.
I started riding because I always like to try new things.
Racing is something that interested me when I turned 7,so I trained & raced withThe Low Riders at Oshawa Ski Club. Then I got my first alpine race board & started carving.
I was winning races at the competitive level,so I wanted to take things more seriously.
Thats when I met Mike at The Dogbowl Board Co. I joined his team 2 yrs ago & I love it.This year I started training with the Ontario Snowboard Club & have improved greatly.
This season 2009/2010 I've excelled by winning every AOS competitive slalom & giant slalom race. This year I also raced in the USA with the USASA Western New York circuit &
managed to finish 1st overall in Slalom & 2nd overall in GS,which Qualifies me to go to the USA Nationals in Colorado (Copper Mountain) this spring.
